MoraSpirit, beyond the limits

In an outset where deforestations in Sri Lanka is a grave environmental concern, restoration and re-planting of forests offer a major opportunity to off-set emissions and reduce the global issue of climate change by increasing the green cover.

“Thuru Team” Sri Lanka is in a mission to plant 2 million trees by the end of year 2018. Beyond the mission of empowering University Sports, MoraSpirit walks ahead with ‘Thuru’ to empower the green cover of Sri Lanka.

About 20 green shelters will be added to the earth as MoraSpirit Going Green project which is organized by MoraSpirit with “Thuru Team” will be held at Bodhiraja Vidyalaya, Piliyandala, on 28th July.

Keeping another step, the little hands that are willing to care the planted trees at their school will be supported with stationary items including books.

The principal of Bodhiraja Vidyalaya, who is leading and feeding about 150 students appreciated this project by his whole heart and is giving his maximum support.

It is our responsibility to protect the Mother Nature by planting at least one tree and caring it until it grows to a big tree.

All benefits will be returned to ourselves as a 30 feet tree will produce 550 liters of oxygen per day. Thuru team has introduced Thuru App that can be downloaded through Google Play, app store and their website is, www.thuru.lk.

The app is a digital inclusion of reforestations drive initiated from Sri Lanka. As they say, Thuru app is a Facebook for trees. You can plant trees and upload images and details. It will give you points, geo tagging and link up with the nature lovers and tree huggers all over the world.

So, join us and make your country green.
