September 7th and 8th were another two successful days for sports of the Sri Lankan Universities. Two competitors facing one another across a mat surface, fought against each other to bring glory to their own alma-maters. The Gymnasium of University of Ruhuna was brimmed with skillful players with their masterly performance and cheering gangs from different universities establishing the origination of the Inter-University Taekwondo Championship 2017.

Sri Lanka University Games 2016 has once again marked another successful day of completion with Taekwondo at the Wayamba University Premises, at University of Wayamba. The evening was pleasing with cheers from the gathering leaving the frenzy atmosphere from the morals of high spirited taekwondo players and their fans.

Invitational Inter University Taekwondo team Championship organized by University of Kelaniya was held today at the university premises. University of Moratuwa, University of Uva, University of Peradeniya and hosts were chasing the medals and the championship. University of Moratuwa won in both men and women category.

The Inter-University Taekwondo championship was held successfully at the Gymnasium of University of Peradeniya. UOM players performed exquisitely on the fighting floor to win both men and women championships under the captaincy of Tharindu Rusiru Kumara and coaching of Mr. Seo Won Cheol

National Taekwondo Tournament 2013: SL Army Wins Overall Championship, Anusha Bandara Brings Honour to UOM

The National Taekwondo Tournament for the year 2013, organized by the Sri Lanka Taekwondo Federation ended on 30th of November as experienced and well talented SL Army team emerged victorious as overall champions.

UOM “Kicks In” with Another Emphatic Win at Taekwondo

It was shouted all around as the warriors of Universities fought for their alma mater in the aggressive game of Taekwondo a distinct branch of Martial Arts heavily based on strikes delivered as kicks. UOM emerged overall champions as well as men’s champions today on the mat at their home grounds amidst the Heart Stopping action of Taekwondo. UOK Women’s emerged Women’s champions with some emphatic flawless performances.
