Volleys over net; to be continued...

The Inter-University Volleyball Games were headed toward a brilliant begin this end of the week at the Wayamba University Indoor stadium. In the midst of all the energetic masses the groups which advanced toward the triumph were good to go to be chosen for the following round. Through the energy and nervousness, the fight was started with the high expectations of youthful players from fourteen universities and, boisterous cheers from the students, echoed throughout the stadium.

 By the impact of past matches a few groups needed to surrender their deepest desires. And furthermore few groups were holding up to influence their fantasy to work out as expected. The preliminary rounds were held in four groups A, B, C and D for both men and women. Quarterfinal matches were held between the winners and runners up from those 4 groups. 4 winners and 4 runners up were selected for quarterfinal matches after first round matches.

In view of the above outcomes, teams for the semifinals were chosen. From the men's class, SAB, UOC, UOM, SEA were sufficiently fortunate to achieve their objectives. From the women's class, SAB, RAJ, UOC, UOK met all requirements to the semis’.

Today the fight proceeds onto the third day with some energizing matches arranged and loads of teams anxious to keep their title dreams alive. Today whatever is left of the gathering matches for men's will be held and might be a couple of knockouts if the competition runs standard with the schedule. Tomorrow will be the last day of the competition and knockout stage matches for both men’s and women’s category will be held to choose the champions.

Semi-finals, consolation final and the most anticipated last match were in progress at the Wayamba University Indoor Stadium. Anticipate the Nitti gritty elaboration of what occurred at last at this current years' IUGs volleyball Championship!
