Who Would be Crowned as Champions in Elle, SLUG 2013…???

Even though there were some signs of rain in the morning, the weather was kind enough to support SLUG 2013 Elle. The whole day (9th May 9, 2013) was blessed with sun shine. Men got into the battle at the University of Moratuwa grounds while women were seeking for the title at the Panadura grounds. 13 Men’s teams and 12 women’s teams played under 4 groups.

UOC and USJP Dominates the Pool Amidst a Record Breaking Swimming Meet.

USJP & UOC stole the show where UOC dominates the overall Leaderboard with 180 points and USJP lagging close with 162 points in todays swimming encounter. UOP, UOM & SUSL who were although far behind shared slots in the result sheet with some notable performances.

Black Out Day is not so good for Volleyball

SLUG 2013 is rapidly getting in to the groove and making its way to the peak. Today is the fourth day of the season and the second day for Volleyball too. Every single point would contribute in deciding the winner of this SLUG season and the teams are fighting accordingly.14 men’s teams and 13 women’s teams are fighting for the top honours. We witnessed lot of ruthless thrashings and edge of the seat thrillers today as well.

One sided dominators and few high octane nail biters made a spirit, power and passion filled Sunday here at NYSC- Maharagama as clash for the prestigious title in SLUG 2013 invaded the volleyball court. Island wide University volleyballers, poised for victory, gave the ultimate test for their talents in the court determined to take home the medals of everlasting glory.
